A plain guide to the Perfect Player IPTV app: who makes it, what it can do, how to add a playlist and a programme guide, and how to get it safely.
Please note: Perfect Player is a third-party app made by Niklabs Software. This site is an independent guide, not the developer. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Niklabs or perfectplayer.tv, and we never distribute the app.
Perfect Player IPTV is a media player for Android built to look and behave like a set-top box. Niklabs Software designed it for TVs, TV boxes, tablets and phones, and over the years it has been installed millions of times. You will also see the name written as one word, PerfectPlayer. It is only a player. It does not sell, host or include any channels of its own.
You give Perfect Player a playlist link and, if your provider has one, a programme guide link. The app turns them into a channel list with groups, logos and show information, and you move through it with a TV remote, a mouse or a keyboard. It can also play video files stored on the device itself. Because the app only shows what you feed it, your experience depends on the provider behind the playlist: how the channels are grouped, whether the logos load, and whether the guide lines up with the channels.
Where to get it: Niklabs Software's own website was niklabs.com, which no longer offers the app. The Perfect Player IPTV listing on Google Play was not live either when we checked in September 2026, and the website perfectplayer.tv is a separate IPTV service, not a Niklabs download page. So install Perfect Player only if it appears in the official store on your device. If it does not, pick any M3U or Xtream Codes player from that store — every guide on this site works the same way in either.

Perfect Player reads M3U and XSPF playlists from a web address or from a file on the device, and lists an Xtream Codes (XC) type in its playlist settings for providers that use that system.
Add a guide source in XMLTV or JTV format and the app links the programme data to your channels, so show names and times appear on screen.
Mark channels as favourites for a shorter list you actually use, or search the full line-up by name when you know what you want.
Channels are displayed in the groups defined by the playlist, with a logo next to each name. This keeps a very large line-up easy to browse with a remote.
The interface is made for a TV remote on Android TV boxes, and it also accepts a mouse or a keyboard on devices that have one.
The Android app, Perfect Player IPTV by Niklabs Software, was published on Google Play. Search for that official listing in Google Play on your device. It was not available when we last checked, so if you cannot find it, choose another M3U player from Google Play.
The same Android app runs on TV boxes and on televisions with Android TV or Google TV, controlled with the remote. Search Google Play on the TV itself. If the Niklabs Software listing does not show, pick a TV player there that accepts M3U or Xtream Codes.
Perfect Player is not offered in the Amazon Appstore, and we do not recommend installing it from outside sources. Install an IPTV player from the Appstore instead. Our guides and any playlist load in it the same way.
Niklabs Software also made a desktop version for Windows. Its old home, niklabs.com, no longer offers it, and we found no current official source for a download. On a PC, VLC media player from videolan.org plays a playlist link directly.
There's no single official download link we can point you to today — the Google Play listing was down when we last checked, and niklabs.com no longer distributes the app. Search your device's own app store first for “Perfect Player IPTV” by Niklabs Software. If it's not there, our installation guide names a specific, well-reviewed M3U/Xtream Codes player for your exact device, so you're never stuck.

EPG means electronic programme guide. It is a separate data file, usually in XMLTV format, that lists what each channel shows and when. Perfect Player fetches that file from the EPG link and matches its entries to the channels in your playlist using the channel IDs. When a match is found, show titles and times appear in the on-screen panels. This is why a playlist and an EPG link are meant to be used as a pair. If a handful of channels show no programme data, those channels simply have no guide feed. After the first load, one restart of the app often fills in the rest.

Ask on WhatsAppThe app has been free to install. Some versions showed an option in Settings to unlock a full version. Either way, the app never includes channels: you still need a playlist from an IPTV provider before you can watch anything.
No. It is an empty player until you add a playlist. If you don't already have one, an optional subscription of ours supplies one: 22,000+ live channels and 120,000+ movies and series, plus a guide link for the EPG.
No, this site is not official. We are an independent guide. The app is made by Niklabs Software, and we are not connected to Niklabs or to perfectplayer.tv. We do not host, sell or distribute the app.
There is no Perfect Player version for iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Mac, Samsung or LG TVs. On those devices, install a player from the official app store that accepts M3U or Xtream Codes. The same playlist works there with no changes.
Search “Perfect Player IPTV” by Niklabs Software in Google Play on your Android phone or Android TV device. If the listing isn't available in your region, any M3U or Xtream Codes player from the same store follows our guides just as well.
Install it, open Settings, then General, then Playlist, and add your M3U or Xtream Codes details, then add an EPG link under the EPG setting if you have one. Restart the app and your channels load. Full walkthrough on our installation guide.
